Living on the river keeps me connected to the changes in weather. A minor drop in temperature, a sudden appearance of clouds, an increase of wind speed....it is always obvious and can't be ignored.

I rarely listen to a weather report. All I have to do is step outside, feel, smell, and experience the air .

I'm thinking of the upcoming boating season. This shot is from summer 2005. Peconic Bay, calm day, no wind, beautiful clouds, and we flew across the water.
