The only ocean-front restaurant on Fire Island, this is in Davis Park. It's called "The Casino"- no gambling, just food and a bar. On summer weekends it becomes quite lively with music and dancing on the outside deck!

The sea was calm and not great for sailing.

There is a holding area for NYC container ships before they get close to the city. These ships are actually anchored here, waiting for the okay to enter NY Harbor.
