Rita's Rest: a Ford "Woodie"

This is the car of my mom and dad, Bill and Rita Brady. My dad passed away on March 1st of this year. My dad loved his Woodie and this is a great picture! Thanks so much for sharing it.

William Brady of West Sayville recalls the evening he stopped in at a movie theater and met his future wife, Rita.
I was discharged from the U.S. Army Air Force in February 1946 after serving stateside as a togglier with a B17 bomber group. I was last stationed at Tyndall Field, Fla.
One Sunday night after I returned home, I stopped in at the neighborhood movie house in Sayville. You could walk in for free after 9:30 p.m. back then. I don't remember what the movie was, but inside the theater I saw this girl standing on the inclined walkway and thought, "I have lived here all my life and never saw her before this." She started to leave, and I decided to follow her.......
